Meet Our Dental Team
Vickie met Dr. Otten while she was working at Hallmark Cards in Kansas City as a Packaging Buyer. She is originally from Kansas City, Missouri where she attended Southeast High School and Rockhurst College. After moving to Lawrence, she worked at Douglas County Bank and Landplan Engineering. In 1986 Dr. Otten asked her to join him as his partner in the dental practice, helping him in the business office. She has gained much knowledge about the world of dentistry and enjoys her ability to help clients find a path of health that is right for them. Her relationships with the clients over the years have been extremely rewarding and she always enjoys her visits with them and having them a part of our practice family.
Vickie and Dr. Otten have one son, Craig, who lives in San Diego with his wife Christine. Their pride and joy, granddaughter Lexi, makes San Diego their number one travel destination. Vickie’s other interests are her community involvement, dancing, sports and of course, their sweet dog Lola.
Before starting her family, Debbie was proud to have served in the military with the 190th Kansas Air National Guard. She spent 12 years with the Guard and had many opportunities to travel with them. Debbie remains active with the unit through her husband, Col. Derek Rogers and Son Jake who joined in January 2013. She was honored to have been awarded “Military Spouse of the Year 2013” by the State of Kansas.
Debbie has been practicing Dental Hygiene since 1993. She has worked with long term restorative and esthetic dentistry helping people discover their options for optimal health. She has attended hundreds of hours in Continuation Education Courses in pursuit of being the best at Dental Hygiene.
“One of the things I enjoy is working with the patients who seek Dr. Otten’s care. Exceptional Quality Dentistry is an art and science. It requires tremendous dedication and an uncompromising commitment to excellence.”
“I am excited for the opportunity to work with a team of professionals that make it possible to offer the patient the results they desire and individual choice of how to achieve them. Each person’s journey to health is unique. I enjoy getting to know my patients, listening to their concerns, hearing what their expectations are and helping them to discover the possibilities to reach the goals they have for their dental and overall health.”
Her family is the most important thing to her and she has been blessed with four children and one grandson. When she is not working, she enjoys weekend adventures checking out the local activities, rummaging through antique shops, or trying out a new creative project. Brenda feels very fortunate to be a member of the Team and brings with her over 30 years of experience in the dental profession.
Tiffany attended Hutchinson Community College to certify as a CNA and has been in the medical field for 16 years. She decided to make the change to dentistry as a personal challenge and has found a new passion.
You can find her outdoors in her spare time as she loves camping, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and cycling. She also enjoys spending time with very large family including 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
