#1. Sugar attaches itself to the surface of your teeth.

After chewing something that contains sugar, the sugar will adhere to your teeth long after the meal is done. Even if you drink plenty of water and eat other food after eating sugar, some of it will remain on your teeth until you are able to brush them.

#2. Sugar will hide in between your teeth.

If you drink something sugary, like soda or juice, you are making it all too easy for sugar to hide in between your teeth. Unfortunately, brushing alone cannot remove this sugar, and that’s one of the reasons why we recommend that you floss daily.

#3. Sugar promotes bacteria growth.

Your mouth is at the perfect pH level to keep a great balance of good bacteria and control the bad bacteria, but it can be compromised when you eat sugar. When consume candy,cookies and drink soda it can change the pH level in your mouth to the point where it can no longer control bacteria levels and maintain that delicate balance.
